The PALOMAR modular sofa was conceived as a fluid and transformable system, designed to adapt naturally to daily movements and rhythms.
The modules can be freely arranged in space, allowing for the configuration of cozy seating or the extension of depth to create an informal, relaxed chaise longue. The adjustable headrest lifts easily, offering ergonomic support that follows the body’s silhouette without restricting it.
The project draws inspiration from the language of contemporary fashion: soft, abundant volumes reminiscent of padded and enveloping garments.
The surfaces are defined by light quilting and spontaneous folds, like fabrics that mold themselves to the body, expressing a sense of immediate and authentic comfort.
Softness thus becomes an aesthetic as well as a functional value: not just an invitation to relax, but a statement of design freedom. The generous, intentionally non-rigid proportions suggest a less formal, more “lived-in” home, where every element can be reinterpreted.
The sofa does not impose a posture but embraces it, leaving room for spontaneity and movement. In this balance between abundance and lightness, structure and freedom, the product transforms into a soft and dynamic domestic landscape, capable of evolving alongside its inhabitants. Comfort is ensured by the manual ratchet mechanism, which allows the headrest to be adjusted to the desired position for ergonomic cervical support, and by the electric sliding seat that extends up to 60 cm for additional relaxation space.
